At least it's good to see that Signal is taking a stance! I wouldn't want them to compromise, but I am relying a lot on Signal for daily communication...
No issue for me to fully switch to SimpleX or Nextcloud or whatever but good luck switching my whole extended family again...

Once again, I encourage you to check out our recent podcast on Mullvad, whose home is in Sweden, and this exact criticism was laid out (predicting this news story based on the past votes). And that was the least of the criticisms. [2]
