I'm having one of those middle-of-the-night crises of confidence. For the first time in my life, it might be justified. It's possible I really can't do this. I've been back at work for three weeks and I'm already depleted to the point where I am again doing the "basic life task" math to figure out what I can stop doing in order to work. I'm going to continue to soldier on in hopes the treatment starts helping - I have my first vestibular therapy session on Tuesday - and that perhaps this is just my old friend depression sneaking back in to try to sabotage things. Hopefully things will look better in the morning.
The thing that's hardest is that mental talks count against my stamina as much as physical tasks. Crosswords are not a good use of stamina, and anything more taxing is beyond me. Reading is sometimes OK, but studying anything, such as a language, is not. That's why my DuoLingo owl looks like this: (not that I'm using DuoLingo for language learning in any serious way, just as a backup)
