But I find his designs on the Panama Canal a little harder to understand.
He claims that America built it so it’s therefore theirs. But I’m not sure this argument works because that would make the Suez Canal French, the railway station in Mumbai British, Hadrian’s Wall Italian, and Stonehenge would belong to the druids.
Nations can’t go around claiming that just because they built something in another country, it’s theirs, fun though it might be for the Cylons from the Andromeda galaxy to send the Egyptians a backdated rent bill for the pyramids.
