With tiktok going "dark" and then coming right back. Things seem off. I can't quite articulate what or why exactly, I think the truth will come to light in time. However, one thing in my mind is certain. It's time to move my content creation to Nostr.
Here are a couple questions that I have for the community.
1. How are we solving for multi media storage?
2. Are there services which make it easy to post content here as well as other mainstream social media outlets? (thinking something like repurpose.io)
Context:
1. I've always connected to people through spoken word and videos are the best way imo. Reading the docs I'm trying to learn more about how video files are handled? Nostr supports the address reference, but seems like each client is managing the uploads, is primal using IPFS?
2. Like all social media, Nostr is getting better with more daily active users. (I joined a year ago and hadn't used it since) but am seeing that so much has improved in the feature set and the ux! Kudos to the builders!
My thought goes to "how do you onboard more users to make this the place that people want to be?" ...
Two things come to mind, creators and content. If it's easy for creators to start migrating or posting content here as well as where they are currently established then a migration may be less daunting and more feasible.
I'd be interested in exploring this, probably starting with things like X, Medium, Substack etc. since those are primarily text based, but curious if there isn't something that already exists.
