No, a Raspberry Pi is not ideal for a Bitcoin node. Not anymore. It used to be alright a few years ago, but its main constraint is RAM, and running Bitcoin requires a decent amount of it. Highly recommend 8 gigs+, especially if you are also going to run a Lightning Node and any other Bitcoin/Lightning related services along with it.
