THIS IS MY RELAY and CLIENT DRAMA EXPERIENCE TODAY:
I'm rotating through about 5 different clients:
iris.to, astral.ninja, nostros, nostragram.co, snort
was using nostragram most heavily the last few days b/c of the 3 column format allowed to browse faster.
Interestingly enough here is what I see.
It appears, after adding and removing via trial and error, most of my traffic was as on damus.io , for some reason nostrgram.co had removed damus, not sure why yesterday. Also tried to add back a few paid relays and then they somehow disappeared, I assume that the client is working on some issues
Some paid relays i have had trouble connecting to, such as orangepill.dev, others are fine, e.g. eden.nostr.land
Would be ideal if all of the content that's now on the relays could be downloaded and consolidated, i've tried a few options but its a fight to keep up with the feeds moving so fast.
Does anyone know if its possible to fetch one's data off of damus? If so please do let me know.
If I am incorrect about any of the above, do let me know, its been touch and go all day today.
TLDR: Feels like its time to run ones own client and relay and go self- sovereign. everything else is a backup/mirror option .......
