Yuval Harari is a brilliant historian and I thoroughly enjoyed reading Sapiens. However he is completely misguided about Bitcoin and keeps calling it the "Money of distrust". It is not "money of distrust" instead it is money that does not require trust, two very different things. Also Bitcoin is after all just a combination of Public Key Cryptography and Distributed Systems.
Yuval's central thesis is around the ability for humans to make stories and to cooperate. Bitcoin is an enabler of this by allowing them to cooperate in ways that eliminate risk. I am sure he will understand this soon.
