I don't disagree, but the flip side is, unless a man feels an overwhelming compulsion to breed, he doesn't really need a wife either.
A woman should only be a complement to a man's life, never the focus of it. Not long ago, this wasn't the case. Marriage once imputed to a man a certain level of societal respect and privilege, a just reward for the level of self-sacrifice and commitment he was willing to offer.
That's no longer the case. Today, husbands are mocked and denigrated and rational men have realized the truth: All the benefits a wife once provided can now be had without the financial risk and commitment of marriage.
I'd even take it a step further and say that radical feminism, no fault divorce, and the mockery of men in pop culture has yielded a state of affairs that benefits men more than women. Well, at least a certain class of men.
