I think what does make us different, is the amount of study required to fully grasp what it is. No-coiners just don't get it, till they do. The people who you describe above are the people who ape in at or close to ATH's then see a huge loss when the market tanks and think, well, I wasn't expecting that😳. That's where the discipline and the study comes into play!
