I can remember completely missing Twin Peaks when it first debuted on TV. The way it was advertised was like it was yet another murder mystery drama so typical of that era (1991 in Australia).
Years later and after a night on the tiles I switch on the TV and a Twin Peaks rerun is on. Not paying much attention until it cuts to the Red Room. It was that out there I questioned whether I had just seen what I thought I just saw (I was still kinda drunk and sleepy).
Went and hired the VHS double box sets from Video Ezy a few days later and binged the entire thing. It changed how I viewed film and tv forever.
