i'm so sick of how supposed costs is to defend shit that is a huge waste of money (and violation of people's freedom), and people just eat that shit up.
like so many climate change mitigations would be negative cost, and would mostly just involve not dumping loads of taxes into car subsidies and roads or the protection of fossil fuel mining and animal agriculture.
yeah, it would be cheaper in the long run, but also, like, now.
