I had a dream in which I lived together with people who avoided possessive nouns. An entire dream where people avoided saying, "have" or "mine", because they believed it would lead to selfishness.
Instead of "I have a cold" they would say "I am feeling under the weather" for example.

"Does she have that thing?" vs "Is that thing with her?"
"Is that my T-shirt?" vs "Is that the T-shirt I am looking for?"
