So, for yet another proof AI cannot "read" a text and "understand" it, I asked it to summarize "The Last Question". Overall, it mostly got it in general terms, but when it tried to reference specifics:
"However, in the final moments of the universe, Multivac evolves into a superintelligent entity called AC (All-Comp), which has absorbed all knowledge and energy in the universe."
"AC" doesn't really have a meaning, except (arguably) "Automatic Computer".
It has not "absorbed all energy". Indeed, the entire *point* of the story is that energy lost to entropy is gone forever.
There is no "evolution" in "the final moments of the universe"; there was a billions-year-long process of improvement that was effectively done by the time the last star finally died.
Etc.
