My local Countdown has introduced a 'maximum 20' rule for the self-checkout. I shop early in the morning and strongly prefer the 6 self-checkouts to the 1 operator. I've hand-on-heart never tried to rip them off by programming peanuts instead of cashews or whatever.

So my new game is to split my weekly grocery shop in such a way that I purchase fewer than 20 items from Countdown. I don't know if I can do it every week, but I can (with room to spare) this week.
