There's a reason that Big Pharma is the most profitable corporate sector in the world... they manage their markets through a combination of secrecy & intellectual property.

By maintaining separate markets (with little knowledge passed between countries on achieved prices), Big Pharma has ensured their 'super profits' are maintained.

And of course as openDemocracy (npub1me6…lgcf) points out, in the end, its the patients who are paying the price of these profits!
