China unveiled the world's fastest train, which reaches a top speed of 450 kilometers per hour. The National Railway Administration of China announced in a statement that it has launched the prototype of the high-speed train (CR 450) in Beijing, highlighting that it is a global leader in key indicators such as operating speed, energy efficiency, noise level, and braking distance. The CR 450 train, reported China Central Television, has a test speed of 450 kilometers per hour, and its commercial operating speed will be 400 kilometers per hour, compared to the current high-speed train speed of 350 kilometers per hour. China has the world's largest railway network, with a total length of 162,000 kilometers, and the high-speed railway network has reached 47,000 kilometers, accounting for about 70% of the total length of high-speed railways worldwide, according to the Xinhua News Agency.
