A lot of people say things that are not correct and actively promote them. Judging between opposing opinions is difficult. Sending someone to prison for that, despite (of because of) the politics, seems harsh.
It is also similar to the conflict in question by the original post: a time of war and differing opinions based on which ethnic side of the conflict is supported ( Israel / Palestine ).
Calling someone a Nazi and trying to social shame is shortcut thinking, not coming to terms with the underlying issue, which is #freespeech
