There's only a handful of games (Outer Wilds, for example) where this can be disastrous.
But on the other hand - as much as I love Ross - I think there's a chance you may get biased in an unfair way cause he really loves to get hung up on details (like Black Future - a Roguelike - having Roguelike elements).
