Apple corporation has hijacked podcasting: adding new podcast requires (probably) having Apple Podcasts Connect account to submit new podcast at https://podcastsconnect.apple.com .
It's bastardazation and theft of podcasting as you envisioned probably because to open such podcast connect account they demand a lot of private infos including phone number.
Just saying, sigh. I don't expect that you can help.
