Pursuant to billionaires, I think it should probably worry us a little that Trump didn't promise free money to his supporters to get elected. He hasn't really made any "socialist" moves at all. His backers seem pretty convinced that they don't have to offer bread and circuses to the masses to keep us in line. Other fascist ideologues in the past have usually promised at least some social welfare.
The billionaires aren't even hiding it anymore. They're playing the endgame, I think. Which concerns me. But I guess it's also hopeful, because hungry people turn on their masters. If the billionaires push too far too quickly, it might all blow up in their faces.
That's accelerationist talk, and obviously I'd prefer very much that change come about without a massive explosion. But I don't know. Maybe the billionaires haven't read history either. Or maybe they're right, and we're all just boiled frogs.
