I have worked with McKinsey people in the past, and they were for the most part glib, charming and incompetent hucksters who preyed on credulous managers.
At the time I thought it was because the companies were cheaping out and hiring only McKinsey's C-tier people, but this suggests to me that they're all like that. It's nice to have one's impressions confirmed, even years later.
