One of the cool things about aerial photography that I love is the ability to make the ordinary look extraordinary. This image is of Popham Beach at low tide. The receding waters leave behind ripples and patterns in the sand that at ground level look incredible. From the air, it looks like the lunar surface, or some other abstract pattern.
