i'm not sure what they're really for - there are some dreadful examples locally (one local station has an automated national news feed on there and little else)
schedule information doesn't interest me, i don't care which DJ is playing at which time, especially on a station with little specialist stuff
literally all i do now is use the nice "what was that song?" feature on Aiir sites occasionally
