The ID that people carry are usually issued by each province & they're usually driver's licenses (or provincial photo ID cards for those without a driver's license).
Some provinces like British Columbia allow people to login to gov't services with their BC ID credentials.
There is limited support using bank creds as a "sign-in partner" to login to some federal gov't services.
Overall, it's pretty disjointed atm...
