Not that I’m a fan of it, but it’s the most widely support C++ build system out there. Even with its insane syntax and lack of name spacing. I also use the cmake package manager, which handles fetching and building of third party dependencies all from within a single cmake file (I loathe Conan). Combined with ccache I get a fairly solid experience.
