Personally I like multisig (assisted) for long term cold storage. I can unilaterally move funds, but also have a fallback if I screw up. It also keeps things accessible for my family.
I still use single sig and passphrases for medium sized amounts and monthly cash flows, given that I live on Bitcoin.
