First off, there's evidence that there might not have ever been any such thing in the way we think of it. But the real issue is that history doesn't go backwards/forwards like that bc there is no backwards/forwards. There's people adapting to their circumstances, and whatever adaptations follow climate change will be with the knowledge we have now and in a natural environment that's very different than what came before.
