Technically, my friend Alaa Abdel Fattah, should be released today. He was detained and sentenced over sharing a FB post in Sept 2019.

I say he is my friend but I feel that he would have been the friend of so many people here given the fact that beside his political activism he is also a software developer, #FOSS & #Linux advocate, #Drupal geek, built an Egyptian blog aggregator in 2005.
