when i #record a new song, i throw everything at it - every indtrunent and harmony and submelody that presents itself. then i go back and surgically remove everything that doesn't have to be there. usually that means #percussion and #guitar parts, and it almost always mrans writing a new #bass line, because the #song has changed and needs a new propellor.
