I've been anti MS since the Halloween Documents but it's not like Apple is a paragon of openness. For the price of a mid speced Mini I was able to build a PC that runs circles around the Mac for editing. Since it's just a PC ofc I'm running Linux on the 2nd NVME and the Nvidia gpu allows me to run lots of local LLM/AI's and Stable Diffusion for image generation. I only boot into Windows for serious editing work or, ironically, to play games that don't work on Linux.
