CoreOS feels pretty early and experimental, but I think it's quite promising. There are docs, but you gotta know where to find it and how to read it. It's mostly man pages and specifications.
The main docs do show how to make a Podman systemd service, but it doesn't make use of the two killer features: running them as user services (no root access) and having automatic updates on the containers.
You know who has better docs for Podman systemd services? Bazzite. Yes, the Steam OS alternative. Because it's also an immutable Fedora derivative. https://docs.bazzite.gg/Installing_and_Managing_Software/Quadlet/ It still doesn't mention having automatic updates though.
Also my Ignition config is pretty basic and it already contains a workaround for an oversight in Podman user services. So maybe it's just experimental? But it doesn't seem like it's supposed to be.
