Sometimes it's just better to buy a well engineered, maintenance free #espresso machine in the $500 to $1000 price range, get your 5, 10 years out of it, make sure you do all the regular home maintenance on it (boiler flushes for scale, regular cleaning, backflushing, etc. And your 10 year cost is just $50-$100 a year. Then buy a new machine.
Don't envy us fools spending $6K on a Linea Mini, $7K on a Decent, $4K on an Elektra Verve. We have a lot more spending to do on those machines :)
