The thing I like about saving in bitcoin, is it makes me more conscious of my decisions. When I save in fiat, spending a few hundreds dollars for trinkets is easier. When that money is in bitcoin, and I have to sell the bitcoin to purchase the item, I have to pause for a moment to ask myself, is the future utility of this item worth it to me. It's not that I'm against buying trivial stuff, it's that I like the pause it gives me to consider why I'm making the purchase.
