I've started getting some of those electrolyte sticks to keep in my pocket when at work and my water isn't enough to keep me going. Yesterday was a doozy because thanks to #Beryl, we were the only location open for service in 20ish miles in our franchise & it was a constant revolving door of hungry customers. My voice was cracking because I couldn't even get away from the register long enough to hydrate--it was THAT bad. I had to make myself sip slowly in the hours after I stopped working and use one stick because I would've gotten a major headache otherwise. I'd already had one from hunger.

And with the heat bound to get worse, with several co-workers having to do outside drive-thru duty, I'm keeping some for them, too. I'm already the girl who carries Tylenol in her pocket all the time (and extra pens, a notepad, a sharpie, etc.), so why not a few of those sugar-free electrolyte sticks? We have Powerade at work, but that crap's like Kool-Aid... too damned sweet.
