This might be cringe, but I actually really like occult books that are written with heavy purple prose. I don't want to just learn the mechanics of magick, I want to feel like I'm discovering an ancient tome oozing with esoteric wisdom.

Also, if publishing weren't so expensive, I'd say all occult books should be produced like those Dragonology/Monsterology books were. Occult books would be more of a vibe with more hidden pockets, secret ciphers, an eye-catching illustrations.
