I appreciate how you bracket this as a confession, and how you say it's something you don't do because you appreciate you don't want to be that kind of person. But I find this attitude pretty repugnant, because it works out to be a combination of anti citing one's sources and pressure on people to stay on Twitter. Every time somebody posts a Twitter link to Mastodon, that's somebody deciding they would rather have a conversation they could have on Twitter here on Mastodon instead. That's not behavior to be discouraged.
