I tried this for several days but I suspect that the spring pushed against the nib/feed/cartridge too hard which caused it to be pushed out a bit in addition to ink leakage.

I think what caused the cartridge to fall out in the first place was how I was using it with a lanyard while running around for my job. Now that I’m free from that I’m switching back to storing it regularly.
