This close-up took me by surprise the first time I played the EGA version of Loom. In the VGA version, he just didn't seem to care that deeply. (And of course, there's no close-up.)
It looks creepy in both the EGA and the FM Towns version. In the TurboGrafx-16 version it looks downright demonic.
