I worked for a couple security companies in Utah valley for a bit while finishing school, and the whole contract thing and fucking people over to cancel has been basically THE INDUSTRY STANDARD for at least 15-20 years if not longer, before simplisafe came on the scene (from what I understand, with no personal experience). Vivint is one of those companies. They actually had sales reps getting signatures from blind people, and refusing to cancel them. And those reps got paid a shit load and fucked off on the slopes skiing and drinking and making dozens of dumb startup shell companies that they flipped. They all deserve whatever they get.
