So many problems with this article it's hard to read.

One I particularly take issue with is,

"but although Rome fell and its territories fragmented into numerous different states, the Chinese Empire survived and generally remained united during all the centuries that followed."

The Roman Empire is just as unified as China. China was almost never unified. It's government is constantly over thrown and maps redrawn just like Europe.

Just because Rome isn't the center of European power doesn't mean the European empire disappeared. Just like China. The capital of China moved all the time

China wasn't even China once upon a time. It was Mongolia or Manchuria ect .

Current China is only 75 years old. The language unification of China is even younger. Just 30 years ago most of China couldn't speak Mandarin.

Second part is the Tiananmen Square is a lie stuff.

Did Western governments exaggerate it and exasperate it?

Probably.

Did it happen?

Most definitely. You can get on Facebook right now and message Chinese people who were there protesting and since fled to Taiwan or California. It's still in living memory.

Even Chinese people around the area will speak about it amongst themselves saying the roads flowed blood like a river.

天安门大学生血流成河事件

Definitely there was a clash between the government and protesters
