this is kind of an interesting OECD stat: the dot is people 25-34 with a tertiary (college) education, the diamond is people 55-64 with a tertiary education.
you can see that in older generations, the US had a big lead over France and Spain, but now they have basically caught up, with all three countries at a little over 50% of their young people with college degrees.
