The now 5 year old 32" €$170 Tosh branded Vestel TV died again. (I bought it during the pandemic, not because it was cheap, but because I needed one of that size and it was available in the shop next door).
Last time the backlight portion of the power supply board blew and I replaced it with "free" 12V+19V notebook power bricks from the parts bin, glued in place onto the metal base, and a €$5 china backlight PWM step up converter. That lasted about 1.5 years and maybe 1000 hours, now it has gone dark again. No voltage above 19V, no PWM -> new converter, no, this time it must be the LEDs. Tested them one by one, yes, 1 blew, but the ones most affected by the heat aren't in good shape either -> new LED strips. Now waiting for another €$16 worth of goodness to arrive.
I'm hopeless, I just can't throw this piece of junk in the bin.
