For most people in the world, religion is heavily intertwined into the culture they were raised in and so has massive implications into who they are as individuals.
But what happens when we no longer believe? Are we lapsed versions of our former selves? Are we non-practicing? Is it over?
This seems most common among Christians. I never hear Muslims, Buddhists, or Jews renounce their cultural heritage. They just don’t let it rule their lives.
