I made a reply to someone else about how Mozilla has always felt like a "for the people" company. Firefox was embraced by the tor project, they made technology such as https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-use-firefox-containers which are wonderful for separating everything. I have no idea what the leadership is taking but I fail to see how going from "we’re not like google, we don’t have a monopoly" to doing some of the same shit google does would increase their popularity. It’s been miserable watching them alienate everyone who supported them.
