Filippo and his family really hated Dante, he personally beat him, they were favorable to his exile, which his brother took advantage of by stealing all of his possession, and later the family opposed his return from the exile.
Dante would then get back at him by portraying him as a big bitch in the Divine Comedy, dedicating nearly 30 or so verses to him specifically. That verse is literally the equivalent of modern day "I have already drawn myself as the based chad and you as the soy wojack" twice, which was kind of the point of the entirety of the Divine Comedy, but especially so in these verses.
It's in the Inferno, 8th canto, should be one of the early verses since Dante writes that he meets Filippo early on in his travel through that layer.
