Hmmm... yes I can see that argument, but what is also clear is that the acceleration in multiples of earnings to average house prices accelerated once the multiples cap had been removed some decades ago.... so it may be a mixture of the two, but I'm not convinced caps would play an insignificant role in reducing asset price inflation in housing....
