Yes the modern game is more skilled.
Those who argue on behave of the previous generations love to mention, rebounding and passing and such excellence of the past. I just want to point out the lower shooting percentages will create more rebounding opportunities also overall higher frequency of passing because most had similar scoring skills so might as well pass.
TLDR: Today players more skilled,miss less shots and only pass when Necessary.
