Turns out Sammy Hagar was abducted by aliens as a young man. Apparently they uploaded some information to his brain and this gave him supernatural abilities to forsee the future.

The lyrics of his song "Crack in the World" seem to talk about some form of bifurcating event or mechanism in the year 2025.
