I played around with a low profile 60% mechanical keyboard that also has a compatible folio style case that can hold up an iPad Mini and I think someone has solved my issue of the mini not having a decent keyboard option

Only issue is that it is horribly loud and I cannot imagine using it in a public space of any sort, and afaik low profile switches do not have dampening options like o-rings yet. Still, it is majorly tempting.
