I feel like the one good thing #TikTok has brought to the world is that, despite not using TikTok, I do realise (shortform) videos uploaded everywhere nowadays ever since TikTok became popular almost always gets subbed by the creator on-video.

Doesn't matter if it's a comedic video, educational, cautionary, promotional, or even a rant - It's almost guaranteed I could watch them without even unmuting my speakers. It's such a norm these days that whenever I encounter a video with no subs on display, I just skip it cos there are a ton of others that do.
